Lauren Calvert

Lauren Calvert focuses her practice on complex litigation, including mass tort and class action litigation, and is licensed to practice law in the Nevada state and federal courts. She is an alumnus of the William S. Boyd School of Law at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, where she graduated cum laude. While studying law, she worked as a law clerk with the Nevada Supreme Court for the Honorable Justice Michael Douglas and research assistant to law school Dean Ngai Pindell. She currently serves as the law school’s Alumni Association Secretary. Before law school, Lauren earned a bachelor of science in Economics at UNLV.

Immediately following law school, Lauren began working at the law firm of Lionel Sawyer & Collins in their Gaming and Regulatory Law department. Among others, she represented MGM Resorts International and Dubai World in their multibillion dollar CityCenter development on the Las Vegas Strip before the Nevada Gaming Control Board and Commission; Las Vegas Sands Corp. in state and federal lawsuits; Simon Property Group, owner of the Forum Shops at Caesars Palace, in multi-state litigation against Wolfgang Puck restaurants; and Cantor Gaming, Latin Chamber of Commerce, National Elevator Industry, Nevada Credit Union League, City of North Las Vegas, World Market Center and others as a lobbyist. She also assisted in co-teaching gaming law courses at the Boyd School of Law for four years.

Lauren joined Bighorn Law after the firm represented her in a serious commercial vehicle accident. She heard her true calling to work with the most passionate and compassionate lawyers in the Southwest, seeking justice for the marginalized and mistreated. Today, Lauren represents victims of unlawful employment practices in nine class action lawsuits against Nevada strip clubs. She also represents those harmed by the drug Abilify in a national mass tort and drivers for Uber in Nevada. She lives in Boulder City, Nevada, where she enjoys practicing yoga and cooking for her boyfriend, Ed.
